Software for the record world

"The industry is evolving, and so are the operations behind it."

Cratebase is an operational platform built specifically for record stores, labels and music sellers. It enables them to manage inventory, sales and fulfilment across multiple channels and marketplaces โ€” with the ease you'd expect from modern technology.

Built by a record collector

Behind Cratebase is Daniel Spijker: DJ, collector and software engineer with over 15 years of technology experience. He previously held product roles at Facebook and founded NearMint, which was later acquired by Discogs. With more than ten years of hands-on selling experience in the record industry, Daniel understands better than anyone what operators actually need.

Cratebase launched in 2022 from Amsterdam and supports sellers shipping from the US, UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Japan and beyond.

Based at the Affuitenhal

Cratebase is based at the Affuitenhal on the Hembrugterrein in Zaandam. From this environment โ€” where purpose-driven entrepreneurs come together โ€” Daniel continues to build software that keeps a global music market moving.
